I hope summer training is going well for the team! A few friends and I are setting up a charity race at Vasona Lake County Park (Los Gatos) on Saturday, Aug 12. It’s a 5k/10k fun run/competitive race and all proceeds are going to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley. You can learn more about it here (steps4smiles.net) and if you’re interested, you can also register there.
It could serve as a long run, workout, time trial, or an all-out race - whatever meets the team's needs. Since it is a charity race/fundraiser, we do charge money for entry, but if that poses a problem, we are willing to waive registration fees.
