@9:21 it’s a premonition.

Somebody is not being very optimistic.

So we're going to have...THREE seasons in one year? Two of which collide with each other directly?

How are the cross country runners supposed to transition directly into track (and being late) without any off-season rest or training? How are they supposed to go from end-season xc championship races to mid-season track races? How will anyone have time to get in shape for track so quickly and doing the necessary speedwork on top of all that?

It's like no one took two seconds to think about any of this.

Well most HSers in the US go from XC to indoor to outdoor. I also saw Brad Hauser (Frick or Frack I forget) run indoor, qualify for world XC in Feb, run a 10k time trial to get the NCAA auto in a cal poly dual, then run world XC. He then took a few weeks off, won NCAA. That was from February to June.

Most high schoolers & teams don't do an indoor season.

We are dealing with something very unusual and I am positive that good coaches will figure out how to manage the transition between cross country and track and field.

@6:57. You are thinking like a Californian. Yes, many if not most of the states in this country have an indoor season. In many parts it is cold and snowy through March.

Thanks for posting this. I was off a week on the SJS subsections/sections.

I'd sure love to have a shot of Hank finishing senior year PAL finals at Crystal Springs right behind the Church Lady.

Ok anonymous, who are you? I'll send you everything I got on Mr SNL (I'm sure it's not me who impresses, but then again...) I do have a few HS stories, between him and Damon Wood (Woodside) meats were VERY funny and entertaining.

Growing up in Utah we would go from state cross country right into indoor track meets without a hitch... It's all mental... Tell your kids they can't And they won't.. tell them they can and they will...

Coach, are SJS postseason dates accurate? Our league schedule just came out with finals on 3/5, then Sub-Sections 3/13 and Sections 3/20.

This is the link I used to find the SJS dates.
