I would add Lauren Soobrian of Los Altos to your list of contenders in the girls 3200. She just opened her season with a 4:59 in the 1600 followed by a 10:39 in the 3200 at a dual meet!
She was the best freshman in CCS this past XC season and those two times show that she will be a contender in track as well.
Would add John Lester Amador Valley if he runs the 800. Heck, might add him anyway. Would not be surprised if he runs low 49 or better tomarrow at Dan Gabor and he did have pretty good cross country season.
Is it prudent to hold this meet? Quoting the San Mateo Health Officer, Scott Morrow, MD PhD from earlier today, "All non-essential gatherings should be canceled, postponed, or done remotely." From a disease dissemination standpoint, DDF is a high risk event. It's one thing to hold small league meets if there are no cases of Covid-19 in the community, and even this is questionable, but to bring together so many athletes and adults from so many different places around CA and beyond, seems like a bad idea.
With all the concern over the Corona virus will the meet be held?
