2) Granada-League rival who will rely on a strong sophomore class.
3) San Ramon Valley-Another talented group of girls who could challenge top 2 teams.
4) Liberty-Will need to rise to the challenge of upsetting one of three very strong teams.
5) College Park-Return their entire 2015 team. They will need to improve to move up.
On the bubble (alphabetical order): Amador Valley, Dublin, Santa Rosa

Please feel free to chime in on the rankings above. I won't be offended if you strongly disagree as the above rankings are meant to be a launching pad for conversation. Fortunately section titles and state meet berths are decided by the runners themselves. Any impact freshmen that we should know about?

Adrian Schroeder will be a junior at Dublin. He ran 2:02/4:21/9:44 as a sophomore in track and 16:02 in XC, finished 12th in d2 at NCS (#5 non-senior). Yeah there's a lot of talent moving down from d1, but I still think he'll be in that top 5 considering how fast he is improving, especially if his track times can translate to xc well.

Those comments about Adrian Schroeder are looking prescient this weekend after he won the Ed Sias Invitational on Saturday, holding off several preseason Top 50 & HM runners from Bellarmine, St. Francis, Monte Vista & De La Salle. His 10:05.8 tied for 10th fastest in the 32-yr-old event - within 6.6 seconds of the record for 11th graders set last year by Cooper Teare.
