And not one local news media outlet picked it up. Can you imagine the press that the best football/basketball player ever in CA history would get almost weekly. And this not even in the scorebox. Maybe a national record can make the back page?

Someone commented that the mark would have to be certified before it became an official record. Can a field person enlighten us distance people about the certification process?
There is a record certification form that must be signed by the meet official, athlete, head coach and school principal that will then be sent in to the State Office for verification.
