just remembered how easy it is to hate cross country sometimes
Non sequitur.
Funny that the Stanford staff has a gmail address and can't even get an @stanford.edu. haha
Well UC Berkeley's berkeley.edu is now actually hosted by gmail, so maybe Stanford has done something similar but without the pretence of normality. Or maybe sports is separate?
Actually, Stanford staff does have @stanford.edu email addresses, but I suspect "meet management," whom you would be emailing, is either not Stanford staff or they decided to create a separate email address to handle questions about the meet. If I were running the meet, I would do that so emails about the meet wouldn't get mixed up with my other emails.
Not sure about the basic Stanford email, but the alumni emails are indeed hosted by gmail....
