Joe "knows" SJS and everyone on this list deserves to be there. I would note that I might have added few more - maybe create another category such as most improved, inspirational, best supporting runner, etc. because there were a lot of great performances in the SJS this year. I might have weighted Sections more because Willow Hills is a tougher course than State - although arguably the SJS runners are more familiar with Willow Hills and so maybe it equals out.
Wasn't the SJS Sections course "short" this year? I heard that the finish was about 45-50 yards shorter and the start about 10 yards farther out. If you look at the videos on "Results Posted" you can see that the finish line is about where the Start Line is. In the past, it was "at" or behind the Discus cage. Given the condition of the field start and the ruts in the road at the finish - this may have been an accommodation for safety reasons.
