Baxter defend title running the muddy 5k course in mid-19's!

Baxter is unreal in XC. Undefeated still in her high school career. I am assuming she is not running in the Footlocker National meet which is too bad.
Arcadia won in 2010, 3rd last year and champions again this year. I say they have this down pat and with only one senior on this year's team, they will be back on the podium again next year (hopefully without the squirrel).

How does a California team "qualify" into the NXNs?
California gets two automatic bids into NXN. After the state meet is over the top 16 teams from the combined list are identified and then rescored.

The top 2 teams automatically advanced. There are at-large bids and in the past, 1 or 2 CA teams also qualify as well.

Why did Karlie Garcia run in the Senior girls 5k at Footlocker and not the seeded?I can't believe that her parents and coach would target this as her first race back after a stress fracture?Has she verballed anywhere yet?
Great to see the race winner Marissa Williams competing in the "footlocker competitor t-shirt." She may have had Converse on as well.
