Check out the following blog by former Maria Carrillo, current Sonoma Academy coach Danny Aldridge. He is also a former elite runner who is back training to compete at the 50+ level. Some great insight into his training as well as some great stories from the past such as the Sebastian Coe story.

Danny is an incredible person, not only is he a world class athlete is also a world class coach, and now running shoe store owner. He is in the elite class of high school coaches in the NCS. His accomplishments at Maria Carrillo were amazing. He coached in a way that made the kids love running. The number of kids who went on to run in college had to be one of the most, if not the most, in the NCS. He will do the same thing at Sonoma Academy.
