eh, move monte vista boys up? despite their young team, they did win large school division at edsias yesterday afterall. and amador's 9th with their 16th place finish @ edsias???

amador didn't run their top 7 at ed sias I heard

It sure looked that way. No Brett Hornig, Mike Marlin, James Raynel etc.

while monte vista did win ed sias, amador wasn't in there to mix things up

I would rank the Gunn girls higher

Where's Garret Rowe? Dyestat had him ranked #2 or #3 in all of D2 and he was the 2nd or 3rd fastest soph at state last year all divisions. Is Rowe not running this year?

Jackie Evans of Gunn is not XC. Gunn is still very good but that is a tough loss for them.

Garrett Rowe hasn't race yet this year (I believe) so I am going to wait until he races and shows he belongs in the top 10.

Are you going to post this weekly and what happens if a team/individual does not complete that given week... is there team/individual ranking going to remain untouched?

(they should remain in the same ranking)

Originally I was planning on posting every few weeks or so but it seems the interest is there for me to post every weekend.

Regarding teams or individuals not competing during certain weeks, that is of course going to happen since not everybody competes every weekend. I am not going to ding a team or individual for not racing but teams/individuals could move up with exceptional efforts.

Hope that answers your questions.

I think Mike Roderick deserves more than #10. He has posted some really impressive times this year.

Somewhat off topic, but i was wondering who is going to the De La Salle/Carondelet Nike invite this saturday? I hear this varsity race should be a beast so i was wondering who is going? I'll start things off... i am going.

Erik,

Here is the teams that have confirmed to be competing this Saturday at the DLS meet. Disregard that it says 2006 on the link. It's the 2008 teams.

This season should be interesting for the girls. There are several teams in the top ten that have good 1,2,3 runners, however, lack depth or 4th/5th runners are back a ways. This was noted at Nike and Lowell Invites with the DI and DII teams. Not sure if there are already injuries or is it because of first real 3 mile of the season.

Nathan Litwiller from Clayton Valley should be added to your top 10. He looked strong at Nike.

Question about the individual rankings. Is this your snaphot in time of who is currently running best or your prediction of the 10 best XC runners, meaning the ones who will perform best at leagues and state?
