Looks pretty thorough - I am sure difficult process. Not to underestimate the amount of work that went into this process but I think the D4 girl - first team (anna) was also section best? for CCS.
Good choices. all Strong runners.
Verdon is a great #1, but not sure how you put Santisteban over Carroll. Both had great seasons, but Carroll had a significantly better finish, both at State (where Carroll beat her in their only head-to-head match up) and Footlocker. Add to that Carroll's course record at Willow Hills and I think that the case is certainly very strong that you might switch their places.
Great overall list but I agree with the the previous comment. Claire Carrolll should be ahead of Kelsey Santisteban. Not only did Carroll beat Santisteban in the D1 race at state, she beat her in the seeded race at Stanford a minute-plus.
How does the committee justify putting Santisteban before Carroll?
To the first post, Peterson won CCS.
To the 3rd Post, Maxwell also Won CCS, fastest time all Divisions also 2nd fastest time ever at Toro Park behind Tori Tyler!
The third poster says, "I stand corrected."
The good news is that we have some strong runners in Northern California and it's fun to watch them compete. Congratulations to all the runners who made the various lists.
Really well put together, I can't find a single point to challenge on the boys side. Best list I've seen in a while, whoever made this really did their research.
Upon further review the Girls Top 7 should be:
1.Verdon
2.Carroll
3.Santisteban
4.Petersen
5.Maxwell
6.Orders
7.Fraser
Bumped to second team..Holt.
State meet Fraser 17:55.8 FLW 19:17
State Meet Holt 17:54.6 FLW 19:31
State Meet Orders 17:43.4 FLW 18:34
State Meet Maxwell 17:54.8 FLW 18:29
Thank you for all the comments. Keep them coming.
The Teams are in alphabetical order (not ranking order) with the exception that runner of the year is listed 1st, then senior of the year, then junior, etc (as long as they were in the same "Team" grouping). A committee of 9 folks voted on this list so thanks go to them - they can be found at:

Hat's off to the committee that had the time and willingness to come up with a SOLID list of outstanding athletes. I have no argument what so ever with the choices or the selection process. Looks like we are going to have some insane times in the 1600m / 3200m with this group. It's that stacked ... Good luck and good racing guys !!
I'm kind of bummed Ben Eversole didn't even get on the honorable mentions. Even though he was inured at the ends of the season, he still set the Canyon course record and had a phenomenal performance at Mt. Sac. But i know you guys logically thought this list through, and i'm sure you have a reason for it.
About Eversole:
He did not have the great set of races at the end of the season. This was partly due to a knee strain that robbed him of the ability to rise to the occasion at the HAAL, NCS, and State. He had very good races, but not great races at those competitions.
He did have the validation race when he finished 2nd in the Open race at the Nike Team Nationals, and his time there would have place him 25th in the Championship race (and 2nd for Arcadia!).
However, the criteria for the NorCal selections were based completely on section and State results, and Ben finished just outside the top list on those two comparisons.

If they were based SOLEY on section and state meet results, how does Nacouzi make it in, since she didn't run in either race?
