Cate Ratliff at Santa Cruz, Jamey Harris has really helped her out extremely well this last year! Watch out for her younger brother also!

I am sure Harris has helped but her Coach is Greg Brock. You know, Maggie Vessey's coach who helped her breakthrough and then brought her back from the dead?

I also heard Jamey was coaching her and a few of the other Santa Cruz kids along with Pacific Collegiate kids. I did notice thru Instagram they were all up in Sierra's two weeks ago. I think it's great!

Why kids would switch coaches after having that kind of success is baffling.
Maybe it's for the summer? Be careful tho advertising holding practices and camps over dead period, that was brought up at the ccs meeting and can lead to getting in big trouble. I'd be careful what you post. I'm guessing everyone is breaking the rules, just don't flaunt them in the face of the powers that be.

U really think a girl who was 6th overall at W2W isn't already practicing with her coach?

Forget about CCS violations, they would pale in comparison to the possible NCAA issues for both Ratliff and UC Santa Cruz if the prior poster is correct and she is being coached by Jamey Harris, the current UCSC coach. As one of the other posters also said though, be very careful about what's posted online. Even if it's not true, it can stir up a hornet's nest for all involved.

How about the HJ coach who's coaching 6 of the 8 top girls in CCS and then ends up as a high jump official on the field at CCS? I sure had a good laugh when somebody referenced Santa Cruz as a program that's winning while following the rules. Any kid mentioned on this list is training year round. Period. Just like the girl at Peidmont hills, colleges won't care if your times were wiped away because of DQ's or if you ran them on Mars. Parents pay these coaches for the times.

I would anticipate Nick Downs, Salem Bouhassoun, David Frisbie, Andy Ehrenburg and possibly Kevin Lehr to be ranked in top 10 for D3 boys.

I'll bet that if John Ross from Scotts Valley doesn't return for another top 10 placing this year at Woodward then we can expect that his teammate Luke Mccartney will. From what I know, John had some sort of allergic reaction going on last track season, and Luke stepped it up for some really strong performances. I'd imagine that John has sorted it out by now, and I'd expect to see a couple great performances out of him.

Roman Munoz from King City could also see a really big growth this next year as well.

Justin Robison, and Gillian Meeks. There's probably 5 girls in the SCVAL who would rank top 10 for their divisions. Jacob, Gee, Kamas, Bishop.

Sorry, but how is this really any different than your earlier pre-season ranking of top 10 Norcal runners? (http://www.crosscountryexpress.com/2015/06/northern-california-pre-season-top-10.html) Can't see how this would be any different...
