Neilson Powless-Roseville HS

Those of you following the Tour de France may have noticed that an American rider, Neilson Powless is currently in 2nd place. Not sure how many of you are aware of this but Neilson was an outstanding runner at Roseville HS (SJS) competing for two years (sophomore and junior seasons) in 2012 and 2013. He had a best of 15:29 at Woodward Park as he finished in 8th place as a junior in the Division II race.

I pulled data from Athletic.net 2022 Track season, I averaged the top 5 non-Seniors 3200 meter times and compiled them into divisions. I have not done the girls, but should have time after summer school ends.
Note 49 out 0f 139 CCS schools that are listed in the CCS Division placement (https://cifccs.org/Playoffs/CBEDS/2022_XC_Division_Placement.pdf) had 5 boy non-senior runners record marks in the 3200

Crystal Springs Uplands School: is looking for a cross country assistant coach for the 2022 fall season. CSUS is located in Hillsborough and competes in Division 5. This is for the 2022-2023 school year. A zest for distance running, a positive attitude, and running experience is a plus. Practice will start on August 5th and will run until the end of November. A stipend is available. Interested individuals should send a resume with references to athletic director Bobby Long at BLong@csus.org and Albert Caruana.

Women's Empowerment Through Sport: Development Camp for HS Track & Field Coaches and Women Athletes

The clinic will take place at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Saturday, August 6th, 2022 (8am - 4pm) featuring three-time Olympian and former SHC runner, Shannon Rowbury.
