Thanks for posting but I wish they posted ALL of the results like they did last year. Especially because I would like to see who did anything of significance in the mile and 5000m this year
not sure why German Fernandez is dominating the poll so hard. Who else remembers this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev5vqqs6MEE

German's senior year in high school is still so fresh on most people's minds. Despite that, I think it would be hard to vote for anybody else as the best distance runner in NorCal history. Course record at Woodward (that might hold up for many years) plus the double victory at the state meet. Who else was that dominant in their era in two track events?
^^ His double wins at the state meet AND the Woodward record were done in a dominating fashion. State meet doubles have been done before ex: Darren Fahy last year, but his times weren't nearly as impressive nor was his margin of victory so large. Gotta give it to German; XC State meet course record, National 3200m record, and 3 tenths of a second away from being the 5th American high schooler to break 4.
That's a legacy that will stand for years.
Why? Wasn't his double win also a state record. Um... There you go.
Now if this is of all time than no. He needs to make the Olympics. He has a long way to go for Francie Larieu status but if you're just looking HS then he's your guy.
