The amount of all-weather Track and Field facilities in the San Mateo County will be going up a substantial amount in the next year or so. Starting on April 1st (no not a joke), they will close all the San Mateo County schools that have dirt facilities and a makeover will take place as they convert those tracks to all weather facilities. Some of the schools that will be getting an upgrade, going south to north, will be Hillsdale HS, Aragon HS, Mills HS, my high school, Capuchino HS and Terra Nova HS.
The following article details the process Terra Nova HS (and their athletic director) have taken in making a new state of the art facility a reality.
