Unfortunately, it's not real. For those of you that have read the book (a must if you are distance runner), rumors spread that a movie of the book was finally coming out this summer. There was even a trailer. It turned out to be a graphic design student project, a very good one at that.
Check it out for yourself.

I was recently at a talk by John Parker (the author) who mentioned that the easiest money in the world is selling movie rights to his books. While they haven't made a movie yet, he is going to reprint the novel next year when the sequel is ready to be published. Since he owns the publishing company, I figure that he knows what he is talking about!
I am looking forward to getting a new copy, since both of my copies have long since gone walking and I'm not willing to part with $50-$200 for a "new" used copy.
I have a ton of running books (including Once A Runner) and I was floored at what they are going for on Amazon.
I have also let a few kids, that I have coached, borrow the book before and somehow it has always made it's way back to me.
I believe I have already ordered the sequel to OAR but didn't think I would have to wait this long for it.
Thanks for the info Blaine.
