Rich Parris brought his Clovis West team up, and snagged the varsity girls' team title.
Madison Kackley of Gergori (Modesto) won the GV by over a minute with a 12th best All-Time time of 19:02. She is coached by Loretta Fillpot, former Castro Valley runner 1983.
Max Waechter of Heritage pulled away late in the race to win the boys' varsity run. Casa Grande nipped College Park for the team title.

For those who have not perused the results from WCAL II, clearly St. Francis is back to full health. Their team time was #2 all time on the course, and they beat us--the Bells--handily, 20-35, despite the fact that we ran arguably our best race of the year! Colin Peattie broke MBR's course record by one second, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Lancers who are in my estimation right back in the State DII picture with that effort.
Thanks for the update Patrick. I saw the times and it looked like they ran well as a team.
I will say that the competition in Division II at state is really tough this year. You have about five teams with an eye on the state title this year including Claremont, Loyola, Newbury Park, La Costa Canyon and St. Francis. Should make for one heck of a state meet.

Not so humble brag...we ran great, and it wasn't close. Definitely brag worthy to run your school's second fastest time on a course you run every year, even when you get beaten soundly!
