I know everyone wants to focus on the winners and the big names ... but I think it's nice to look at some of the hidden accomplishments at these T&F meets. I happened to notice that Willow Glen had 7 freshmen boys with sub 5:00 1600M times. Is this normal for a public school to have so many freshmen already running this fast? When I was in high school, we were lucky to have 1 freshman under 5:00.

9 Devon Nutti 4:36.41a Willow Glen
9 Marco Dal Canto 4:36.44a PR Willow Glen
9 Alex Asch 4:43.90a PR Willow Glen
9 Lucas Clark 4:44.90a PR Willow Glen
9 Aidan Choy-Marshall 4:46.80a PR Willow Glen
9 J.T. Pappadakis 4:48.05a PR Willow Glen
9 Julian Virrhueta 4:58.81a Willow Glen

Btw, Dal Canto also doubled with a 9:56 3200M. It seems to me that WG has a potential future dynasty...

Willow Glen has always been a good program under Victor Santamaria. I would say those times are pretty good, public or private and definitely a group to watch out for in the next few years.

Congrats to all the winners as well as everybody who ran a PR (or just had a fun time competing)!

I do feel the need to give a shout-out to Alex Beitia for winning the 3200m while rocking the awesome buzzcut a la Sinead O'Connor circa 1986!!!
