2018 North Coast Section Pre-Season Rankings

The annual NCS pre-season rankings are on the way. Detailed breakdowns of each division will be posted which will include all the favorites and leading contenders for the upcoming season.

For now, here are the divisions for the upcoming season:

Some notable teams have moved divisions and will be huge factors in their new division.
Dublin and Amador Valley will now compete in Division I.
Livermore moves back down to Division II.
McKinleyville moves back up to Division IV.
Healdsburg moves down to Division V which means Gabrielle Peterson in a new division.

2018 State Meet auto entries from each section now posted

You can check out all the auto entries from each section at this LINK.

There are several changes from the 2017 season and they all affect Northern California sections. Now that we know who qualifies from each section, we can start to take a look at the top returning teams and start ranking teams and individuals for the upcoming season.

A look back at CCS this past season

I am working on an article looking back at this past CCS season. If you had to pick one male and one female as Track and Field athletes of the year, who would you choose? What were the most impressive performances this past season? Who were the biggest surprises? Who are the best returning athletes?

Crystal Springs Uplands School looking for 2 assistant Cross Country coaches

Crystal Springs Uplands School (CCS) is looking for two cross country assistant coaches for the 2018 fall season.  CSUS is located in Hillsborough (next to San Mateo and Burlingame) and competes in CCS Division 5. This is for the 2018-2019 school year. A zest for distance running, a positive attitude, and running experience is a plus.  Official practices will start mid-August and will run until the end of November. A stipend is available.
