Since practice started on Saturday and athletes are are allowed to only do one sport, did he be choose XC or track this year?
One sport at a time. He can still do both sports if they are contested.
You can’t change cohorts or be in two at the same time. Since all sports technically started Saturday whatever you choose you have to stick with per CCS. For example since XC & track both start on Jan 16 you can not go from one cohort to another (XC to track). This applies to club as well. You can’t be in club soccer (or club anything, drama, band, etc) & a HS sport.
However no one is practicing yet until regional shelter in place orders are lifted, only conditioning (supposed to be with your household only but who does that?). At this point no way XC happens in CCS but track could with some creativity such as time trials.
Update for youth sports in Santa Clara coming this Thursday from the health department.
If there is indeed an XC season which are the Bells choosing track or XC?
