Northgate is D3

I think you have to rank the Archie Williams girls above Northgate at this point. Their scorers ran faster times in each position 1-5 this weekend at De La Salle than Northgate's did on a faster course with better weather at Farmer, albeit against worse competition.

Also, I'd put St. Mary's College Boys above Willow Glen as they beat them and Dublin at Ed Sias, while Willow Glen still couldn't get past Dublin at De La Salle. Putting Dublin above St Mary's is a fair call if you prefer their depth.

Noted on the changes. I believe the Northgate girls didn't race all out at Farmer, which is the reason for their times. I think those middle teams on both rankings are all very close at this point. I will update all the rankings after Clovis when the majority of the top teams race.

Whitney beat St. Francis(sac) head to head at their SFL meet this last week. Davis actually beat St. Francis as well.

Not my team but Whitney is a bit underranked I am thinking. They haven’t run the big meets yet to compare but I’ve seen them run and they were second at State last year in D2 and only lost one girl to graduation who was somewhere from their 3rd to 5th. I’m sure they will move up once they are in more meets.

I saw the results of that league meet, and I'm not sure if some of those teams really went all-in. I agree with you that Whitney will probably move up in the next few weeks. Things will definitely clear up when teams run at Woodward Park. Regarding Schlatter, she is definitely one of the top runners in Division V, which is loaded up front on the girls' side. The Sonoma Academy girls will also be a factor with the addition of Josie Hill who will be eligible very soon and run her first race at the Artichoke Invitational.

Whitney girls definitely went all at the league meet, but looking at the results so did St Francis and Davis. It looks like Oak Ridge was the only team that time-trialed it. Agree with previous post that Whitney is under-ranked, especially as they are the only other SJS team, besides Jesuit and St Francis, that could secure a state title.

I moved Whitney up to 3rd. Will update the rankings in a few weeks.

It is going to come down to clovis meet and then state as some of these smaller schools do not compete against the larger schools at any other meets.

Never under rank a Fernandez - ask Chad Hall…

She is very good. I had to go by the final time (16:52) to try to rank the runners as best as possible. If you look at her splits, she was in 22nd at the first split, 12th in the 2nd split, and 37th in the last split, dropping 25 spots in the last mile. Obviously, very talented and will be among the top runners in the state by the end of the season.

Appreciate the Norcal love, Albert. Great job as always!

18:13 at Baylands in the heat, and all by herself. I’d add Bharadwaj to the list.

At both Clovis and State the smaller school won't compete against the larger schools.
