2015 Cross Country,
2015 Pre-Season XC Rankings,
Did Walt just add up the five fastest crystal Springs Course times for these rankings?
I added up the faster of the Crystal Springs time or Toro time (less 15 seconds for the boys and 20 seconds for the girls. I did not attempt to convert any of the 1600 or 3200 times into a Crystal time except in one or two situations where it was obvious that the team was good but had only 4 times to work with.
Interesting list. Looks like a dogfight to get to state for CCS D2 teams this year, with addition of Gunn and only two teams advancing.
Hey Walt how much did consider last year's track times to these rankings?
Boys have been added.hank
@ 2:53 Looks like it does nothing for now, but in the future we'll see if what happened in the spring will drastically alter these "predictions". I can see D2 and especially D3 boys change in these rankings, if track times could play a part in a team's improvement.
By Walt Van Zant1600 and 3200 times have been shown in order to show the potential of teams. But, these times have not been considered when listing the teams because I'm not sure what they mean in determining equivalent Crystal times.
@ 9:21 I'm sure that someone who isn't able to break 5:00 in the mile is faster than someone who can break 10:00 in the two mile. Just crystal springs times.
Hey Walt how much do you consider 3200 and 1600 times? Do you think they're more significant than CC times from one year ago?
@9:21 Running on a track for two miles is different from running on a cross country course for 3 miles. The two are so different, but track times are more recent than Cross Country times. So I bet these track times can potentially prove more. If you think Valley Christian and Riordan could upset these rankings, and I'm hoping that they will, then I understand where you're coming from!
