PREDICTIONS (OK, I wimped out D2 third place, but here's what to expect.)
D1 GIRLS - 2 TEAMS MAKE STATE
SECTION CHAMPION: ST FRANCIS
QUALIFY FOR STATE: OAK RIDGE
5 STATE INDIVIDUALS: This is going to be a bit insane... There may be no St Francis or Oak Ridge girls in the Top 5.
That means you could finish sixth in this race, under 19:45, and not go to state. It's happened before in this Division.
If the prediction holds true, SOPHIE, MACKENZIE, HALEY, CLAIRE, and FAITH go to state.
Very strong contenders include: Kristina Martinez of NU, Jerriann Wells of PG, and Jillian Brown of McClatchy
D2 GIRLS - 3 TEAMS MAKE STATE
SECTION CHAMPION: KARINA NUNESNEXT FIVE OVERALL: SHAYNA POWLESS, LEANNE JARVIS, SARA LACK, KATIE MERSEREAU, LAUREN STANISLAW
5 STATE INDIVIDUALS: Once again, you might have to finish within the Top 10 to be a Top 5 individual.
If BV edges GB, the individuals could be SHAYNA, KATIE, LEANNE, LAUREN, and Cassidy Heckman of Atwater.
Other contenders are Francesca Loazoya of Kimball, Natalie Hassna of Granite Bay, and Cassidy and Sydney of Lodi.
Christine Redor of Ponderosa is another one to worry about.
D3 GIRLS - 3 TEAMS MAKE STATE
SECTION CHAMPION: KARLIE GARCIANEXT FIVE OVERALL: MADELEINE ANKHELYI, CLARE CARROLL, SIERRA JAEGER, NEYSA MAINS, MARISA CARINO
5 STATE INDIVIDUALS: NEYSA seems like a lock. Megan Hall and Jenica Dodge of Whitney, Andrea Haro of
Cosumnes Oaks, and Christina Winters of Placer are our choices to make state individually, Gotta finish in the Top 14.
D4 GIRLS - 2 TEAMS MAKE STATE
SECTION CHAMPION: BRET HARTEQUALIFY FOR STATE: RIVERBANK
SECTION CHAMPION: BECKY HOBBYNEXT FIVE OVERALL: KRISTEN TURNER, KAYLEE SEDLER, SAMANTHA SMITH, KELSEY GALLEGOS, MIKAYLA FLOREZ

Sac-Joaquin Section Boy's Team Top "10" Rankings
Looks like we may have a three way tie for the top three spots. Yes, it's that close. Woodcreek beat both Del Campo and Bella Vista at the Hornet Jamboree. Bella Vista beat Del Campo in a CVC league meet. Del Campo placed 9th at Woodbridge in the sweepstakes race with Del Campo's 5th runner clocking a 15:35 on the 3 mile course.
This is how I see it and it is very close
1.) Del Campo
2.) Woodcreek
3.) Bella Vista
Any one of these three teams has the potential to win it all and I am basing my predictions on coaching. You have to believe Hall of Fame coach Bob King has the knowledge to and skill to pull it off.
4.) Davis
5.) Rocklin
6.) Pleasant Grove
7.) Vacaville
The rest is just too early to tell but I'm sure some of you have a idea of who else deserves to be mentioned. Feel free to add to the list above.
