Former SLV coach Rob Collins RIP

Sorry to share the news that former San Lorenzo Valley coach Rob Collins passed away. Rob was a super successful coach at SLV with multiple state cross country championships as well as some of the top track and field runners in state history. His 2010 girls DMR team set the national record of 11:41.28 at the Penn Relays. Rob was recently inducted into the SLV Hall of Fame.

College of San Mateo Bulldog Winter Distance Carnival

A Reminder that the deadline to sign up for this meet is Wednesday, December 17th at 12:39pm. You can register for the meet on athletic.net. Search for the CSM Bulldog Distance Carnival and register your athletes or yourself as unattached. 

College of San Mateo will be hosting a distance winter carnival on Saturday, December 20th at College Heights Stadium, that will have a 1-mile, 2-mile, and 5km races open to all ages and abilities. More info will be posted as it gets closer to the meet date.

Nike Track & Field Clinic in San Mateo (Serra HS) on Dec 27th

Junipero Serra High School will host a Nike Throws Camp on December 27.  It is a great way to start off the winter and spring seasons on the right foot.  Join Coach Nick Garcia of Notre Dame, Sherman Oaks, and Coach Jim Marheineke of Junipero Serra High School as they cover both shot put and discus, weightroom needs for a thrower, and medball exercises to supplement training.  

Discounts available for siblings and coaches.

Athletes should bring their own implements, throwing shoes, and lunch (there are numerous nearby locations to purchase lunch).
