Credit should really go to Amador Head Coach Peter Scarpelli who found it first. I simply re-posted the video for others who are not connected with Peter or Amador Track & Field. Thanks Peter.
How about all the ccs drama with soccer players playing for the u17 team during the season? Parents are pissed but I'm tired of club teams crying foul. They say 7 kids from the Bay Area were at the camp.
And before you say it representing USA I have to say bull. First u17 team really has 7 players from the Bay Area? Only a handful from the rest of the country? Right!!
Just another expensive club that branded itself with USA.
^What does the above post have to do with the video, or with sprint form or biomechanics?
Anyway, that is a good video and breaks down the mechanics well. I think it's valuable for young athletes to see how the very best do it, and this is exactly that.
I really wish the narrator had pointed out better who these guys were and their creds, e.g. Powell was WR holder in the 100m, Lewis was many-time Olympic Gold medalist, and Best was a CA State Champ before being a Pac-10 and NFL star. There's high school kids today who weren't born when Carl Lewis won gold in '88...
edit: Ok, so actually there's college graduates who weren't born when Lewis won in '88. The point stands.
