  1. Due to the forecasted 110 degree to 115 degree heat in Vacaville for Saturday afternoon, the Lagoon Valley Classic has been pushed up in time and condensed. All high school races will now be 2 miles including Varsity.

  4. Due to the smoke in the north state from the Helena Fire, the Bill Springhorn Invitational at Shasta College, Redding, CA, has been postponed for the weekend of September 22 or 23.

  5. Any chance they will postpone Laguna valley meet?... Air quality is pretty bad here in Fairfield from smoke...and no wind.

  7. They are changing the course slightly this year at Pacific Tiger

  8. Will coach Jones put out a course map before the race?

  9. Last year had a narrow start and it has been moved up slightly to accommodate the larger numbers. It is essentially the same course. If you have never run it before the old map will give you an idea of the course. If you are new run the second mile, that is where everyone doesn't know where to go.

  10. Why is it so hard to figure out the second mile? Is the course not marked well? Do they have ropes or flags? How about a bike or cart to lead out the pack?

  11. No ropes, no flags, no arrows. Kids need to follow the small landscape markers stuck in the ground. When your tired it's hard to see.

  12. it looks like the 2nd mile of Pacific Tigers there's a zig zag and I'm assuming that's what 12:09AM 9/3 is referring too...again look at the map that I found even though I haven't been there before...Also, the meet director did email us updates and I'm sure he'll include a final instructions and course map of the course. Also a golf cart would be a good idea to be a lead cart, after all it is a golf course...hahahaha ;)

  13. The course at Pacific Tiger is well marked and very easy to follow. No worries!
