For those of you not able to attend the Arcadia Invitational live, you can watch it from the safety of your own home (if watching track on your computer at home is safe :D) at this LINK.
Coverage starts on Friday at 4:30pm.
I will try to post some of the better efforts to NorCal athletes this weekend. Feel free to share your own highlights in the comment section below.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the Bellarmine 4 x 800 relay team for their victory
tonight in a national leading 7:45.56.
A great team effort, with a 1:52 opening leg by Alex Scales.
This is very exciting meet to watch, and the coverage has been outstanding.
Also new CCS record for Bellarmine. Previous mark set by another Bellarmine team in 1990 at Mt. SAC with a time of 7:48.86.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Fork Utah new national record 4 x 1600 16:41
ReplyDeletesplits roughly

4:08
4:06
4:02
That was amazing and to think those guys finished 2nd at NXN in XC.
ReplyDeleteLost to Bozeman Montana, those three guys finished 1-4-7
ReplyDeleteHas a High school team ever had 3 runners run under 4:10 in the same meet before?
ReplyDeleteGood question. I am guessing not in a relay but maybe in open races? I will ask Siri.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the former record holders in 4 x 1600 ran the following last year.
ReplyDeleteGreat Oak in '16 in SS div 1 final: Cortes 4:07.62, Spencer 4:08.74 & Dodds 4:09.42. ALSO Fountain 4:10.51.
Is there another team to achieve the same?
How soon we forget :)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Alex Scales on a fabulous finish in his
winning 800 of 1:50.64.
Alex has unlimited ability, and it's great to see him having
such an amazing season!
Alyssa Brewer winning the 800m -- awesome!
ReplyDeleteAlmost as awesome -- Mari Friedman taking 3rd and breaking 2:10!
I think the NorCal runners more than held their own today at Arcadia...some awesome marks. Will post them ASAP.
ReplyDeleteNorCal definitely kicked but this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the peak PR season. I'm guessing not many new PRs coming as the focus turns to winning races now. Great job to all.
