  7. Ok 5:40... The fact of the matter is she won her race against a relatively strong field today. No need to be negative.

  8. Santa Cruz girls set a new course record in 94:30. Aptos girls also under old record (95:15) in 94:38.

  9. 5:44 agree with you. Give her a break is only a freshmen! 5:40 sounds like a person that has some issues!

  10. Re Ed Sias results:

Interesting to compare the order of finish in combined results (per Lynbrook Sports compilation) vs the recently posted Norcal preseason top teams. For the girls teams included in the preseason list, the order of finish was spot on:

Bella Vista - 1 on preseason list and in order of finish
Monte Vista - 4 on preseason list and in order of finish
Campolindo - 6 on preseason list and 7th in order of finish
Saint Francis Sacramento - 7th on preseason list and 10th in order of finish
Bishop O'Dowd - 10th on preseason list and 11th in order of finish

On the other hand, half of the top-10 finishers at Ed Sias were not included in the preseason list:

    Granada - 2nd
    Vacaville - 3rd
    Mitty - 5th
    Marie Carrillo - 6th
    Santa Rosa - 8th
    Vista Del Lago - 9th

Some top runners were out for various teams, of course...

  16. The combined times are the most important results and they're missing.
    PrepCalTrack has them.

  17. Combined results are now linked as well. Ask and you shall receive.

  18. Solid showing for Saint Francis (Mt View) at Lowell Invitational without Bounds. Is she injured / not running?

  20. Was the Lowell course short? I find it hard to believe it was a full 5k or even 3 mile right now.

  21. The course is listed as 2.93. Alan Perry (Menlo Atherton coach) measured it with his measuring wheel before the meet and got 4595 meters.

  24. Julia Bounds had her tonsils out in August so is delaying her season. She will likely start competing in October.

  25. What's up with College Park? Put some faster boys in JV at Ed Sias but varsity blew up, despite having 9 runners in the race.

  26. I thought Grace Brown could race right away. ACT perhaps? Or sitting out?

  27. Grace Brown was at the meet -- saw her working at handing out prizes.

  28. College Park is much better than they showed. A few of their top guys ran JV at Ed Sias and David Phair didn't run

  29. @7:23 PM

Agreed, but why did they put some of their top guys in JV?
