Sorry Hank and Walt, but the time comparisons have not been updated yet.
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed updated and include results from this past weekend. You might want to refresh your browser.
ReplyDeleteI apologize. Thank you Albert
ReplyDeleteThe Santa Cruz girls are 'really' good, but they lack the depth of Aptos.
ReplyDeleteAt Early Bird Santa Cruz had an 8 second advantage on Aptos but if you scored it Aptos would have won. (combined results)
If they stay healthy Santa Cruz may be one runner shy of a State Championship. (div 4)
Missing from team time comparison by Walt for SLV:
ReplyDeleteLowell Invitational Varsity Race 2
13 Anderson, Chris San Lorenzo Valley 15:50.6
With good health, both teams should be very strong in their own division. Head to head in league should be very interesting with Aptos having the edge at this point. Santa Cruz beat Aptos by team time largely due to Ratliff's course record. We will see how they match going forward.
ReplyDeleteSLV won D4 without a strong #5. You can win there with two really low top 2 runners and a solid 3-4 which is what Santa Cruz has.
ReplyDeleteHow many years in a row is it now that Aptos receive 18 minute freshman? Any team that gets that talent every year SHOULD be on the state podium every year.
Riordan and Valley Christian ranked 2-3 in d3. Lol. Is the universe ending?
ReplyDeleteRiordan just finally has a coach with a distance running background. I raced against Benny Willars in high school, and I think he went on to run D1 cross country. Having a coach with experience is a big benefit for riordan i think, and we will probably see this big turnaround continue in the program in the next few years
ReplyDelete@3:26 No the world isn't ending, Benny Willers just decided to take over the riordan program.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beast.
St Ignatius girls ahead of St Francis?
