  1. Salem Bouhassoun Didn't see that kick at the end coming! But that Sum kid, wow! And Leach from Campo after a not so great end to XC running 10:20

  2. Steven Sum 8:56 - congrats to him. Awesome run.

  3. Have to agree on Sum... he was lost in the craziness of the 3200 finish.

A honorable mention should be given to Sean Kurdy (Jesuit) for a 9:08 after a 4:40 opening 1600.

Most Impressive in girls 3200 gotta be 10:15 by O'Keefe from Davis.

    Jeez that announcer was annoying.

  4. Is this Track AND Field or only distance? There were some impressive performances outside of the 3200.

  5. You have to give the whole entire Girls 3200M Invitational NorCal runners props. Especially the below:

Fiona - went for it…a big favorite to win State
Brighie - wow…back to back awesome performances DDF and now Arcadia
Morgin - went for it too and hung on as much as possible
Lacy - seeded 28th and finished 9th, 2nd race ever.
Starn - great way to come back from XC season
    Gee - out of nowhere

  6. For the boys 3200 Collin Burke was in the seeded heat and ran 9:00.40! That was quite impressive as well

  7. Is Bruckner the only Nor Cal athlete that won an individual event?

  8. Nice double by the Lowell girls in the DMR and 4x800!
And 2 frosh girls sub 10:30?! Nicely done Bowen and Gee! 23 girls have run sub 10:30 this season and 4 are from NCS!

  11. I think the kid from Bellarmine that ran 8:58 is from the state of Washington.

  12. I would hate to be a girl NCS 3200m runner. The amount of fast runners in there it is almost certain that they are going to qualify more than three to state

  13. I am sure a lot of athletes and coaches saw the returning and new runners that could potentially run the 3200 at NCS MOC meet. There is no question that it will be a tremendously competitive race. After Arcadia, the bar to get to the state meet has been raised even more although the at-large mark of 10:36.17 will more than be in play.

  14. After Arcadia is anyone from Nor Cal even in the picture as the favorite to win an event at State other than Fiona O'Keeffe?

  15. Considering Bruckner won both shot put and discus at Arcadia, I would say she has a pretty good shot (ha) in both events.

The question with O'Keeffe is whether she will make it to the State meet healthy. Last year she ran faster at Arcadia and was shut down by State. The year before she was injured early and didn't run well at State.

As for the NCS MOC 3200, beyond the 4 girls running sub 10:30 at Arcadia, don't forget McCandless and Finnane amongst others.

On the boys side, after Colin Burke, it will be very competitive as well for the next two spots.,,,

  17. who will get the next 2 spots after Burke in NCS?

  18. Big improvement for Drew Childs of Bella Vista who ran the 3200 in 9:12.41, an 11 second PR. Nicely done. Also Bella Vista girls' 4x1600 at 20:53 put them in 4th place in the invitational.

I always enjoy watching Fiona race, and I enjoyed watching Morgin Coonfield in the 3200.
