Thoughts heading into Saturday's CCS final? Favorites? Toughest division? Potential upsets?

  1. I'd be pretty surprised to see Scotts Valley beat King City for the D4 title on the boys side. Then again they have been surprising all season, but king city has to have run that course at least 5 times already this season.

  2. I'll be surprised if Carlmont places in the top 3

  3. I bet that one of the Aptos girls will win DIII. Way too many of them against the one other girl for them to just watch her run away

  4. i doubt she'll run away, but I like the 2:10 on that final straight.

  5. I think the Division III individual title is up for grabs. You have a senior who has never run XC before vs a team of runners who may be more familiar with the course.

  6. Carlmont was impressive at PAL finals.

  7. It looks like Juliana Mount is the one runner that could keep the Aptos girls from a sweep and perfect score of 15.
Has that (a score of 15) ever been accomplished in a CCS final, boys or girls, any division?

  8. 1987 Bellarmine boys (Division I) and 1988 Santa Catalina girls (Division III).

  9. Well as it is, it looks like Mount's best performance was at Stanford, at which 3 Aptos girls came in ahead of her. Of course, no disrespect to her, and we could definitely see her continue to improve at CCS finals
