ReplyDeleteB. Leach ahead of L. LaRocco based on what recent performances? LaRocco ran 17:59 compared to Leach's 18:17 at Stanford.

ReplyDeleteI think Leach and LaRocco are very close. They ran within a second of each other at Ed Sias with each of them winning their respective races. For what it's worth, Leach ran in trainers at that race. At Stanford, LaRocco was 4th in her race while Leach won by 17 seconds.
We will just have to see how the rest of the season unfolds for both runners.
Sarah Robinson, top in the state in 1600 and 3200 plus a two time Footlocker finalist is way too low.

ReplyDeleteThat's right... she took 4th as a Freshman and did not run it last year. I guess she has gotten a lot slower since her freshman year. 4th in the Western United States to barely 5th in Northern California.

Robinson did not go to FL Finals - she qualified at FLW qualifier and then chose to play Soccer. Number 11 became the finalist.

ReplyDeleteWow, stepped on some sensitive toes. I think the blog is supposed to be, although Albert can correct me, but Top 10 NorCal cross-country based on current performance. I don't think the article was Top 10 NC, right? There are some CCS and SJS in there, too. And...I think the NS qualifies as NorCal. In fact, many for the NS view SJS, CCS, and parts of NCS as SoCal! LOL. Well, maybe Central Cal.
ReplyDeleteJason Intravaia of SRV has had a notable year placing first at the MV invitational and Scott Bauhs. He also placed 3rd at Lowell and Stanford. In the 4 races he also set 3 all time school course records
ReplyDeleteGabe isn't 19 years old. You are wrong. Also it isn't top 10 runners based on age, it's the top 10 runners. Arias shouldn't even be 10, he should be higher. He ran at the warmest part of the day at Stanford with nobody to challenge him and pretty much cruised to a win. Great list Albert.
