  4. I second Matt Sidel from Bellarmine, I heard that kid just got back from training in Mammoth.

  5. Athletic.net lists his PR as a 10:00 and I've never heard of him... Am I missing something?

  6. Matt Sidel for varsity boy 3200m. The kid's got heart. Love it.

  7. Word on the street is that Matt Sidel will be going sub 9:00.

  8. I got my money on John Lovegren of Menlo Atherton to win the 3200. That kid has a lot of courage, and he's been seriously toning his biceps. Great runner and has a big heart. I think he'll put on a show tomorrow.

  9. matthew sedil- saw that guy running in Mammoth over Easter. Barely recognized the kid. Must have grown 6 inches and gained 20 pounds of muscle since last fall.

  10. It's definitely going to be a sit and kick race between Sidel and Estifanos. Can't wait to watch it!

  11. going to school with Matthew "matador" Seidel from middle school to high school was inspiring to say the least. Starting off track career at a 11:20, and then going down all the way to 10:00 in his sophomore year, he has run his whole career on a broken foot, and he has finally had surgery. Just last week, back from two months at mamoth, he cranked out a 9:18 two mile hand-timed, more or less, running on his own. I cannot wait to see his performance today at the top 8 meet.

  12. Matt Sidel, never heard of the kid, but lie looks legit. I heard from Raymond Meijer and Charles De Anda that this kid is the real deal.

  13. Matt Sidel will be going for the 3200 meter high school record tonight. He is the real deal.

  15. James Marcus RussellApril 19, 2013 11:33 AM

Wouldn't be surprised to see siddyll close with consecutive 60's. The kid can fly

  16. Rumor has it Sidel has run clost to 9 flat in practice. In trainers.

  17. I think I am staying for the 3200 tonight.

  18. Rumor has it he forgot his shoes in Gilroy so he ran down the train tracks barefoot, laced up his trainers and barely made it back for the start of the time trial so he didn't really get a warm up in. After a few 10.5 hundred meter strides he tempted the 3200 nearly lapping the entire Bellarmine team!

  19. I don't know if you all missed this but Sidel ran 9 laps tonight. In trainers.

    Seriously though... Nice PR tonight.
