  1. Raymond Meijer-Bellarmine

  2. Why are only four members of St. Francis team listed (for girls)?

    ReplyDelete
  3. This is the individual list but those four girls deserve being mentioned for being on the fastest team up North at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Meijer > Murphy. But in the next few weeks someone will come up better than both.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Murphy ran a close 2nd to Stalters at Westmoor which deserves recognition on this list.

  6. Where is Dillon Read from Miramonte on the top 10 or honorable mention? He has beaten several names on that list consistently; consider his 10:20 Ed Sias and 16:00 at the Clovis Invitational last year.

  7. Where is Raymond Meijer of Bellarmine?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Spencer Moore of St. Mary's (Berkeley)?

  9. Bereket of CArlmont is not on the list and he has beaten Meijer.

  10. Raymond Meijer- Bellarmine

  11. Definitely need to consider Raymond Meijer of Bellarmine, having a terrific season

    ReplyDelete
  12. I was going to say Raymond Meijer of Bellarmine, but then I saw the five other comments about him and decided it wasn't worth repeating everyone else. I think we've made it pretty clear about who should be added to the list...

  13. Meijer of Bellarmine following up on terrific improvement during the spring, huge reason Bellarmine has moved from 3 to 1st in CCS rankings

  15. Will Clovis play into these rankings much?

    ReplyDelete
  16. How is Cooper Gill from Lincoln of Stockton not listed "as on the rise"

    ReplyDelete
  17. Daniel Bereket of Carlmont beat both Raymond Meijer and Ciaran Murphy at Earlybird and beat Raymond Meijer again at Stanford

    ReplyDelete
  18. The people have spoken, and after a great end of his track season, Raymond Meijer has definitely stepped up as the head of that Bellarmine team.

  19. Is it just me, or did the wheels fall off the San Ramon boys' program? I know they graduated their #1 last year, but they had 10th and 11th graders who were placing.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Which of these big names will be racing head to head at Clovis this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Cooper Gill from Lincoln of Stockton beat Raymond Meijer head to head at Lowell invitational and again beat Meijer's time at Stanford invitational.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Cooper Gill beat Mejer and stuck with Scranton the whole stanford race. He atleast deserves on the rise

    ReplyDelete
  23. Richard Ho just ran the 18th fastest time on the Crystal Springs course. I definitely think he should move up in the rankings.

  24. Take a look at clovis times for these rankings.

  25. Add Abdul Hamid, Cooper Gill and Jack Scranton from SJS

    ReplyDelete
  26. Charles De Anda-Bellarmine. He has battled back from sickness

    ReplyDelete
  27. Where should those 3 SJS runners be ranked? About what place?

    ReplyDelete
  28. "Where should those 3 SJS runners be ranked? About what place?"

Tough to know exactly at this point. Grolle beat Scranton head to head at Hornet Jamboree in Scranton's first race back from injury. Scranton has beaten both Hamid and Gill head to head, but all should be ahead of some on the list, but behind Trent Brendel.

  29. While DeVries is in a boot, Im not sure how you can conclude the wheels have fallen off at SRV - they placed second in D1 at Stanford and 2nd to DLS at the EBAL center meet, beating a strong Amador team. Seniors Zach Hanze and Carl Wilke are both running fast and have a history of coming up big in championship season. Junior Jason Intravia is much improved, running near the front with Hanze and Wilke and seniors Jake Piscenti and Charlie Fenoglio are improving each week.

    1. Estiffanos- Milpitas
    2. HO- Leland
    3. Bereket-Carlmont
    4. Vasquez- A Hill
    5. Deanda- Bell
    6. Miejer Bell
    7. Velarade Hollister
    8. Garibay YB
    9. Murphy SI
    10.Sum Saratoga
    11.Berrutia Serra
    12.Dimmick Carlmont
    13.Foster LG
    14.Piña Lincoln
    15.Cavillo Leland

  31. What about Trevor Reinhart for on the rise? He just beat Neilson Powless at this Crystal Springs Invitational, and was clocked as the 4th fastest time ever on the course, the 3 before him were run in the 1970's as well!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sorry, i the 4th fastest time ever as a sophomore

    ReplyDelete
  33. Trevor Reinhart is awesome. He's only a sophomore and plays lacrosse in the spring. I am not sure who is going to win Division V this year at the state meet but there is a good chance that runner will be from Northern California.

  34. Boys SJS:

1 Trent Brendel 15:20.9 CA GRBA
2 Steven Grolle 15:35.2 CA SONO
3 Jack Scranton 15:36 CA DAVI
5 Cooper Gill 15:47 CA LIST
4 Jon Horvath 15:32.8 CA WDCR
6 Abdul Hamid 15:38 CA SHEL
7 Sean Jagerson 15:38 CA DECA
8 Toby Qualls 15:47 CA PLAC

Arguments could be made for different rankings in SJS, but Brendel #1 seems to be a no-brainer. Brendel, Grolle and Horvath all beat Scranton early in season, but recent head to heads seem to place him ahead of Horvath. Bronco invite had Gill beating Hamid, but also Qualls beating Grolle, so perhaps Qualls deserves higher as well. Wish we had a section XC masters meet!

Corvese from Sobrato. Hasn't raced much but was a not too distant second from Ho at Earthquake. I'm pretty sure he's beaten half these people already.
