  1. I'll get the conversation and debate started. Can only speak from an SJS standpoint so here it goes in order from top to bottom for girls in SJS (top 8): St Francis; Davis Sr.; Bella Vista (sleeper sort of - could be higher or lower); Vista Del Lago (not sure what is going on b/c with talent they have could be (should be?) no. 1); Oakmont (Garcia is racing again); Woodcreek; Oakridge; Ponderosa . . . I would start there and let the debate and discussion ensuse . . .

  3. I don't know much about sections other than NCS thought I've seen Bellermin run at Lowell. My top three:

    1) DLS - really look strong and getting strong
    2) Bellermin - looked good in both races so far. beat SRV at Lowell
    3) SRV - ran strong at both MV invite and Lowell.

No sure what CCS or SJS team might be in the mix (other than Bellermine)

in terms of NCS, Amador (both McCarthy and J. Schlachte are injured at the moment), Miramonte and Alacanes are all very strong. Campolindo might also be a consideration if Aiden Goltra run's.

  4. I've heard Amador is dealing with some injuries at the moment, but by the sound of it they should be at full strength in a couple weeks. The DLS, SRV, AV battle at EBAL finals and NCS should be quite interesting

was 6th and PG 8th at Hornet Jamboree. Del Campo first, Woodcreek 2nd. Rocklin and Folsom both beat OR and PG. Might be a little bit off there.

  10. Is Goltra running for Campo?? How is the eligibility work out? Did he move there? If not, then he must serve the one year inactive status. Anyone know?

  11. Can't put Davis in front of BV, they beat them head to head at Lagoon Valley... and BV didn't run of their freshmen that scored in their league.

  12. Aidan Goltra will be running for Campolindo after October 1st. That's when he becomes eligible.

  13. New transfer rules this year. You only have to sit out 30 days. You get to transfer one time during the school year whether it's the fall, winter or spring. You are eligible 30 days after the official season begins.

  14. Davis added a few scoring runners at that sacramento meet from the looks of it

  15. Stanford will be the meet where predictions for the end of the season can be made. Many teams are still experimenting with lineups right now. It's going to be a treat to watch the SJ freshman girls lead their teams into sections. Derrys from BV, O'Keefee from Davis and Maggie Bell from Granite Bay.

  17. I'll let you all in on a little known secret: Watch for Placer Boys to upset most predicted top 10 boys lists. Almost everyone leaves them off, apparently if you do not run in the central valley invitationals you get forgotten (smile). Their overall team times, as well as their top 3 are competitive in any top 10 in the Section. Just sayin......

  18. I'll also make another statement to watch a rebuilding girls program at Del Oro, they beat both Woodcreek and Granite Bay in a couple of head-to-head competitions including the first league meet, by a larger margin than many expected. Coaches Kevin and Linda usually have a surprise or two up their sleeves, and this year will be no exception.

  19. George, thanks for the tips. I added both those teams to the rankings. I know I saw the results of a recent league meet for Placer and they were very impressive. Del Oro is also another team in the SJS that is usually in contention for the state meet.

Any other teams flying under the radar?
