    NCS sends 5 division V schools (boys and girls) to state which means they do well at state. Easily the second best division V section in the state.

    Yeah D5 is great, but the times must look funny to people unaware of the weather conditions.

    compare the D5 to the other divisions that ran later on. the only teams that got the faster times were the early races.

    The course also got worse as the day went on, as it rained more, and as more footsteps eroded what little traction there was to begin with. Which is why there is something of a gradual degradation of times in later races.

    I was out there today and the course definitely ate up fast times, I'd hazard a guess at anywhere between 15-30 seconds depending on when the person ran.

    University moves from D5 to D4 but fails to qualify as a team - do they move back down to D5 next year?

    Not sure what Anonymous meant by "compare the D5 to the other divisions that ran later on. the only teams that got the faster times were the early races." D5 girls ran 4th of 5 divisions and D5 boys ran 3rd of 5 divisions. I think anonymous must have meant to say D3, which ran before the rain.

    Yeah University got royally shafted. They build a consistently good program and as a reward they get to not go to state? Which then means NCS D5 will be weaker at state, which means we may lose berths. Who is this rule benefiting?

    Anyway, someone asked which NCS teams could get top 10 at state. On the boys side, I think Petaluma and Campo should both be in their, with at least one of them making the podium, who knows even the title. SRV boys should be in their and I think if DLS has a good race (i.e. none of their runners fall in the first mile like one did yesterday)they should break into the top 10.

    anyone notice that it says an acalanes guy finished 137th in the D1 race? How does that happen? haha and unrelated do DQ's show up later or would they have been shown already?
