ReplyDeletePalo Alto is already listed. St. Francis should be up there as well and I am sure they will make the next list when the next rankings come out following the Stanford Invitational.
ReplyDeleteAmador Valley will be better than last years team, which makes it a little surprising there not in the top 10. they are one of the deepest teams in nor cal, even if they do lack a clear front runner.

ReplyDeleteHe still gets tons of credit for his CCS win in the 2mile his freshman year, but after watching him last year in track i wasn't impressed.

ReplyDeleteI definitely thin Sterling should be at least fourth. Actually, i think he and Wyatt should move up to #2 and #3. There may be a little bias in this comment but i have raced them before and i consider them as runners that can race in the front pack at state

ReplyDeleteWyatt should be ahead of Sterling based on the fact that Wyatt ran 15:09 at NCS 15:47 at state and 9:11 at NCS MOC in track and then 9:15 at the state meet in track. Where as Sterling only ran 4:16 and 15:24 at NCS and 15:57 at state. Sterling is a great runner, but has not improved as much as Wyatt has. I do agree however that Sterling should be at least ranked in the top 3. Go NCS!!!!
ReplyDeleteED SIAS is going to be insane tommorrow. Some of the top teams and indivduals in NCS and Northern Califorina are going to be dukeing it out tommorrow.
ReplyDeleteSt. Ignatius should be up there. They deserve it. It is just too bad they aren't deep this year. Their 4 and 5 guys really hurt them. They could really move up otherwise. They are still a great team though. But, if you want to talk about depth Bellarmine is your team. Their JV can break 84:30 as a team time at Crystal this year. That is good enough to qualify a Varsity team for CCS Finals. Lastly, even though Mountain View is way up there you have to watch out for them. They can get a lot better and I don't think anyone is really sure just how good they are and can be. This should be a great season. Watch for SI, Bell, Willow Glen, and St. Francis to really battle it out.

Landrum looked dominant in setting the record at Sias. People have to understand he's going to threaten sub-9 this year.
ReplyDeleteLandrum looked like a stright up baller out there today. 9:55 is amazimg. Sterling Lockert, Robert Pulford, Steve Inglehart, Austin Synder, Mike Rodick. All looked very impressive and should be put on the top 10 indivdual list or at least put on the honerable mention list.
ReplyDeleteWyatt Landrum should hands down be #1 right now. Coming off of last year's campaign this guy is going to turn a lot of heads come the championship part of the season. Watch out Southern Section.

ReplyDeleteI don't think Willow Glen has the depth to deserve that spot. And why is Parker Schuh ahead of Rylan Hunt and Tyre Johnson? His time at Earlybird was impressive, but you have to take into accout that it was much cooler for his race than it was for the senior race. Also, I he barely broke ten in track last year. He'll be good, but I think top ten is a little too high.

ReplyDeleteBellarmine beat Aptos and Willow glen for the team title. For some reason the meet was run different and was based upon team times. I dont think thats done anywhere. Stanford should be the meet to see if all these team rankings are true.
No offense to Petaluma and others but I really think people aren't getting just how good Mountain View boys are going to be this year. Mountain View should be ranked number one here and they'll be top five in the entire state (all divisions) come November. They've been dominating while running only one or two of their top three.

I agree with Billy the Kid. Mt. View is going to dominate in both boys and girls. After the showing at Stanford, the girls should definitely be ranked #1 over St. Ignatius.

Aptos girls only get an honorable mention? They scored higher than Carlmont at Lowell Invitational (with Carlmont running all of the top runners except Hayley Pascale.. but I don't know what's up with her). They also ran well at Stanford.
