I would probably put Jesuit's Ajani Salcido as the favorite, since he is not doubling. The Bellarmine trio of Nolan Topper, Colin Peattie and Galen Topper will be running the 3,200 after running the sombrero heat of the 1,600 which I think gives Salcido a slight edge. Others that could make a run at a podium spot include Salcido's teammates Braden King and Michael Chambers as well as Bella Vista's Sean Lacey. With many of the athletes having a long gap in between competition, there could definitely be some sleepers.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-66553666183690766122021-04-19T22:43:16.768-07:002021-04-19T22:43:16.768-07:00A magical night at Campolindo

I recommend watching it with the volume cranked up to pay homage to what I speculate is the motivational musical influence of Andy Lindquist.
John Maloneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14814860658343833225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-73761588605012042052021-04-19T20:51:50.175-07:002021-04-19T20:51:50.175-07:00I believe the camera crapped out on Coach Lange. I clicked record whenever the leaders went by and took a bunch of pictures that are up on ca.milesplit.com Not the press box full track view, but I figured better than nothing. Here is a link, I don't believe it is behind a paywall.
https://ca.milesplit.com/videos/475554/dal-boys-dmr-highlightsDan Tnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-83956415087993240072021-04-19T15:30:51.548-07:002021-04-19T15:30:51.548-07:00I am sure Walt will have videos up soon from the m...I am sure Walt will have videos up soon from the meet.Albert Caruanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14434646351717864405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-28842572337425020212021-04-19T15:05:59.802-07:002021-04-19T15:05:59.802-07:00Coach Ozzie posted all the videos from Campo. Amador didn't have a team in the girls so he got the leaders on that one. The meet was well run and a great chance for the distance kids to compete against others at their level. With that said, I was really looking forward to the elite Distance Medley Relays that were set to close the meet. Having followed cross country for years, I knew that Bellarmine, Jesuit and Amador Valley were bringing their A teams to take a run at a good time against a really competitive field. There were 6 or 7 D1 committed athletes (that I am aware of) in the boys DMR alone and it didn't disappoint. Jesuit crossed first, powered by a sensational 1,600 by Ajani Salcido in a US best 10:07.25, followed closely by Bellarmine in 10:12.66 and Amador Valley 10:25.58

In the girl's race, UCLA commit Audrey Allen anchored Miramonte to a 12:28.02 win over Monte Vista (12:36.49). These were the 2nd and 3rd fastest times for girls in the state this year.
