No competition before CCS even matters. Some teams are forced to compete in 4 or 5 league meets.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-87690614731127975182015-10-07T15:39:23.520-07:002015-10-07T15:39:23.520-07:00Sometimes you have to jog a league meet if you are...Sometimes you have to jog a league meet if you are coming off or going to a big invitational. Coaches set up their schedules to peak at CCS and state and not all league meets fit that schedule. You can never fault a coach for doing what they think is best for their team. You are absolutely right in that some leagues can be adversely affected at their league final if they have very hot conditions. Swimmers can qualify to their section meets at any point in the season so why not cross country?Albert Caruanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14434646351717864405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-59607883170640187162015-10-07T13:48:30.380-07:002015-10-07T13:48:30.380-07:00Every team in CCS should either have to hit the qu...Every team in CCS should either have to hit the qualifying time or open it up so more teams can make it. Maybe Top 2 in each league per division then you either hit the time or your don't. You should also be able to hit the time on the course throughout the season. What if it is 100 degrees or real muddy at leagues and you are in a tough league? The system works but it could be better.

As for the teams that just jog a league meet don't even put your 18 min girls and 15 min boys in there is all you are going to do is jog 8 min pace. They miss school for that? They would be better off staying home and doing a workout and let the other kids go all out.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-18849487938901092622015-10-07T12:48:39.782-07:002015-10-07T12:48:39.782-07:00Some teams auto qualify to CCS by just running the...Some teams auto qualify to CCS by just running their league meet.
