Then 5-7 x mile at Cruise Interval pace (that's 6:30-7:00 pace for our varsity girls) with 1:00-1:30 rest in between. Then a 3-mile cool-down.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-76617021807025106042008-07-23T20:02:00.000-07:002008-07-23T20:02:00.000-07:00What type of cruise intervals do you do? The program we run is essentially Daniel's in every way except for the base period.

Instead of a normal 6 week base period we have extended that in cross-country to 10 weeks. This is where the Lydiard influence comes in and why I love Daniel's so much. Daniel's never gives a recommended amount of mileage. It's a case by case basis. For our case that means trying to get in as much aerobic running during this period as safely as possible "a la Lydiard".Rene Paragashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06501859859239401707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-10257651651998027642008-07-22T22:32:00.000-07:002008-07-22T22:32:00.000-07:00Interesting that he says his two coaching heroes a...Interesting that he says his two coaching heroes are Lydiard and Daniels, two men who had almost exact opposite training philosophies.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
