For those of you who were able to watch the state meet in person or online, what were some of the most impressive performances that you witnessed over the two days? What were the most competitive races? Biggest surprise?
No disrespect to the student athlete from DLS & congratulations on winning a state championship but does anyone who was at the meet or watched the stream really believe he ran 10.01 in the prelims despite what the timing system recorded?
In 2024, 3:21.08 medaled at State in boys 4x400...this year, you had to run 3:14.94 to MAKE the finals!!!!!!! The sisters from Carlsbad winning the 800 and the 300 hurdles back to back was impressive, but then they came back in the 4x400 and took Carlsbad from last to 4th, both running 52 splits...incredible.
Hanne Thomsen double
ReplyDeleteBiggest surprise? Clara Adams’ disqualification.
ReplyDeleteStoled my thunder, but there were so many. How about four teams under 3:10 under boys 4x4?
ReplyDeleteGirls 3200. 10.01 in prelims of boys 100

ReplyDeleteI was there, I watched it. At the time I believed that he ran 10.01 and that's why it was one of the most exciting events.
