People can choose to pay the monthly or yearly fee or not.<br /><br />Just like with flotrack (which by the way also owns milesplit), it costs money to fly/drive to cover meets and as the old saying goes, time is money.<br /><br />Same goes for dyestatcal which is owned by runnerspace. They also have articles/coverage that you can only get with a monthly fee . Rich Gonzalez charges coaches to advertise their meets on his site.
