Just a track and turf field. Plus Ive run there. It's not so nice and an older track.<br />Stanford is ideal but they don't care about the public school system or sports. Palo<br />Alto HS would get my vote. Right next to Stanford with generally perfect conditions. They have a gazillion dollars. It would be a great gesture to host the HS meet in their section! Second question: Foothill has a beautiful track paid for by the tax payers; why do they have an expensive track if they don't host any track meets? Third question: many of the families participating in the CCS meet are tax payers in the Foothill district; why should they be charged anything to use a public facility they already paid for? That's like saying girls throws are down because Elena Bruckner graduated. Technically your right, it is not as strong as when CCS had the best. Several really good boys DNF. Others ran considerably slower than their PR. They did a fine job and so the section decided to come back this year. I'd be happy to consider an alternative elsewhere - but can you name a 9-lane track, with a receptive administration, and a staff capable of pulling off the meet, in PA or SF or Carmel? <br /><br />@11:34 I think the argument against a 9-am start is travel time. The CCS is actually really big geographically, and Gilroy is already 90 minutes travel time (without traffic) for the furthest schools. Moving to SF or Monterey would make this particular problem even worse.
