Program success, in turn, depends on having a sufficient number of kids with talent/genetics, providing a favorable team culture, and providing a correct/favorable training methodology that facilitates b and c above. And, I agree that school size can help with random distribution of sufficient number of kids with talent/genetics. And, I agree the socioeconomic status, which is clearly a factor, facilitates opportunity. Add him to the race and St Francis boys are probably still third but it's tight with Claremont and La Costa Canyon. They're definitely still in the hunt for NXN. That was a solid course when Olympic caliber guys struggled to break 25. Miss those days. That said the dry area back then had tons of gopher holes. I wouldn’t count on it being well groomed.
