Looks like it is causing a stir and interesting to see the backlash when he returns to school next week.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-46752237553375940632012-09-26T23:34:04.628-07:002012-09-26T23:34:04.628-07:00Ask your coach. Or, are you taking 14 boys or 14 girls? If so, 7 of those 14 are running seeded. Which 7 of 14 can be selected by your coach on Saturday.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-51453290997452159332012-09-26T19:32:44.339-07:002012-09-26T19:32:44.339-07:00I second that....how do you know if you are in the...I second that....how do you know if you are in the seeded race?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-29873340444940842502012-09-26T12:06:45.317-07:002012-09-26T12:06:45.317-07:00How do you tell if you are in the seeded race? How do you tell if you are in the seeded race?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-44848382944544505962012-09-26T11:06:02.086-07:002012-09-26T11:06:02.086-07:00http://www.rtspt.com/events/stanford/xcinvite12/

I have found it to be very accurate, even in remote locations like the Sierras (e.g., when I'm going backpacking or skiing). Once you get to the main page for your location (e.g., for the Stanford Golf Course: http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=37.42541648223881&lon=-122.1869646240234), scroll down to the "Hourly Weather Graph," click on that, select what you want to know from temperature, sky cover, etc., and you can get very detailed forecasts for specific hours of the day. Of course, as it gets closer to the day, the accuracy improves.

BTW, when I worked at Stanford back in the 80s, we were able to run on the golf course once a week - it was around lunch time, and always 80-90 degrees in the summer and fall. You can get used to running in that temp over time - my all time PR for 8k - road or XC - is on the 8k course there....Marty Beenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13007723949758185705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-70373344323191339162012-09-25T23:19:09.869-07:002012-09-25T23:19:09.869-07:00weather.com is not forecasting a high of 88 which ...weather.com is not forecasting a high of 88 which isn't too bad. and maybe it will come down a little more and the earlier races will have it pretty nice....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-34629341795361741732012-09-25T21:56:58.959-07:002012-09-25T21:56:58.959-07:00^

Throw in the college races (and this is Stanford's course, they're not running a HS event out of the generosity of their heart) so you have quite a bit of racing going on. The college men is at 9:45, a decent time I would say - let the HSers pay their dues and when they run in college, then they get a better start time...

hankhanknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31292861.post-45328210047350434212012-09-25T21:22:26.864-07:002012-09-25T21:22:26.864-07:00Exactly...
