2019 pre-season cross country rankings

You can check out California MileSplit's countdown to the top California teams at the following link:
https://ca.milesplit.com/series/1859

For those of you familiar with Tully Runners, you can go to their site and check out their pre-season team and individual rankings for the pre-season. There is one NorCal girls team that made their top 30 list. There are two NorCal boys teams that made the top 30 list as well. As far as individuals, one NorCal girl and boy made the list and can you name them without looking them up?

I will post the NCS Division V pre-season rankings next followed by the Top NorCal teams and individuals. In the meantime, please feel free to comment on any of the above in the comment section below.

Not to sure about the teams, but assume Strangio would be top 5 and if any girl from Northern California is on the list, it would probably be Riley Chamberlain from Del Oro. I covered the USATF Junior Olympics recently at Sac State, based on what I saw there, I would expect to see Harper McClain from St. Helena to be making some noise this coming XC season.

From Clovis Invitational meet info: "NEW FOR 2019….DIVISIONAL Placement for the ASICS Clovis XC Invitational will be decided on or about Sept 26, 2019. We will base the divisions on the sizes of the schools that register for the meet according to 2017-18 CBEDS, not on CIF divisional placement.

*Division XL *Division Lg *Division Med *Division Sm
To Be Determined TBD TBD TBD
*Our divisions are not influenced by state or section divisional placement. We will divide the teams evenly among the four Divisions based on your 2018-2019 CBEDS. Out of state teams will be placed by their 9-12 co-ed enrollment.

What a concept! All meets at Woodward Park should try this...

Agreed with 5:14PM on the 2 individuals.

Teams probably Bellarmine CCS is DEFINITELY one of them! And I'm sure St Francis SJS on the girls side since they return most of their runners if not all. Not sure of the 2nd boys' team but I'm sure it'll be one of the usual suspects - St. Francis CCS or Dublin NCS?

Good luck to all athletes & coaches!

I've witnessed Harper McClaine training this summer, coming off a solid late spring track season, expect her to really impress this Fall in XC! She is a top un-tapped talent, still balancing her time with club soccer, but with the level of courage and strength I've seen, I'm confident she'll reach the national level in her 2019 XC endeavors!
