I am interested in hearing from Isabella Fauria from St. Francis (Sacramento) who was off almost 1 1/2 years with an injury after being one of the top freshman (10th in D1 CIF) in the state. Just getting back up to speed (33 in Woodbridge Sweepstakes). Also would love to hear from NorCal graduates who have moved on to college. Luis Grijalva went from being state champion to lining up for Northern Arizona University at the NCAA Championships where they became national champions. Del Oro freshman Riley Chamberlain who is undefeated in her short high school cross country career. And I think having teammates being interviewed can give insight in to successful programs (Meika BR and Alex Scales at Bellarmine last year), so maybe some like Loic Scomparin and Christopher Middleton-Pearson of Dublin or Colleen McCandless and one of the other top Granada girls. I also wasn't too familiar with Rayna Stanziano who dominated DLS this weekend, so may potentially interesting stories.

I think some of the sections do a great job of reporting rankings...whether "official" or not.

Is there a person who does SJS?

It would be great to get an interview of Saint Francis´ top 3

Never saw an interview of Shyam Kumar in this blog even thought he was St. Francis’s number 1 runner and led them to ccs, state championship and eventually getting a wild card bid to NXN.

Shyam is a great interview. Very personable and great competitor. Several local newspapers interviewed him after his many wins (see links below). If anyone wants to see him in action, I recommend going to a Cal XC or track meet.

Albert-
First off, love the website! Great information and interviews. My son and daughter run cross country for an east bay high school and both competed at the Ed Sias invitational a couple weeks ago. It was brought to my attention by another coach that Matt Guisto is coaching X-country at Carondelet in Concord. I grew up on the peninsula (Mountain View) and competed against Matt in high school (at the 1983 CCS meet). After high school I know he went on to U of Arizona and then turned professional and then ran in the 1996 Olympics. I recently googled his name to get more details on his career...HOLY SMOKES!! and now he's coaching here in the Bay Area. Not only myself but many other parents and coaches and runners would love to hear his thoughts on training and racing. We would love to see an interview.

Thanks and keep up the great work!
