The Meeting of the Mauraders takes place at Ancil Hoffman golf course and I believe the course is only used for the pre-season event.

Correct Albert. It is a nice, challenging course, but not suitable for big meets as several parts are not much more than single track. The race is run in trainers and there is a casual feel to it, as it includes an alumni race and a meeting with parents. Some runners who are trying to get in to the varsity top 7 or those looking to move up the all time Jesuit list take it seriously, there is internal bragging rights involved. With that said, every runner stays at the finish line to greet the next, which helps with the team building aspect. But first and foremost, it's a chance to get the group together, to talk to the parents and let them know what is in store for them this season (assigning a parent to bring drinks each meet, establishing a distribution list and answering any questions that those unfamiliar with the sport have). It sets a strong foundation that allows the coaches to coach and the runners to focus on their races.
