Interview with Lowell HS (SF) coach, Andy Leong

You can check out my interview with Lowell HS coach, Andy Leong at this LINK. Andy is definitely one of the more underrated coaches here in the Bay Area. He has had a great group of kids on the track who have also been competitive at the state level. His girls DMR team (pictured to the left here at Stanford Invite) finished in 2nd place at the Stanford Invitational running 12:09.40. They followed that effort with an even faster time at the Arcadia Invitational running 11:55.71. That time is the #3 fastest time in the US.

This is a great interview…as coaches, it's one of the most underrated professions to begin with and as this interview says, coach Andy is highly underrated. An awesome coach and a great guy! Always saying hi to all the other coaches at a meet. And what the Lowell girls did at Arcadia was INSANE!!! :) Congrats Coach Andy, and thank you for leading by example!!

Thanks for this interview, Albert. I've met Andy and agree with the previous poster, he's a great guy. He's a coach I've respected since I was an athlete, and I admire what he's done at Lowell. It's nice to see him get some recognition.

The Arcadia DMR was beyond impressive. Great work, Andy! When teams continuously perform at such a high level, the coach is doing a lot of things right. Thanks, Albert, for the well-deserved interview.
