Donation to Cross Country Express

If you have enjoyed the Track and Field and pre-season Cross Country coverage on this website this past season, a kind donation would be appreciated.  You can do so with the link to the right.  If you don't do online payments, you can send a check to Albert Caruana c/o Crystal Springs Uplands School, 400 Uplands Drive, Hillsborough CA 94010.

This site will remain a free service throughout the year but as you know, a lot of time, effort and money goes into the maintenance of a website.

Thank you to all of you that have contributed already.  It's very much appreciated.

How much donations does the site pull in. If you're asking it would be nice to know what the take in and costs are.

Are you kidding me? Albert, (who I have never met), does an absolutely fantastic job with his site. How much he makes, and I hope but am not optimistic it is enough to justify his efforts, is none of our business. You don't like the the idea that he solicits contributions, don't send money. But to want to know what he makes is silly, at best. The fact that the site is freely available, given the efforts he puts it, is a small miracle. Rather than worry that he might actually be making a large profit, I would suggest we all donate a minimum of a $100. to help insure that he is.

As I have said before, I would like to keep this site free. There are plenty of others sites that offer similar content that charge to view.

This site is definitely not a money making business but a lot of time does go into the site. I try to post something daily that is pertinent to athletes, coaches, parents etc.

As for donations, if you feel that you shouldn't donate any money, no problem. If you can donate, thank you very much.

I will start posting pre-season XC rankings shortly to get the momentum going toward the 2014 XC season.
